Pine Tree Pirates Golf History & Hall of Fame
Program History
Since the beginning of records for Texas High School Golf, Pine Tree claims the title for three straight state championships and three Individual State Champions in Richard Parvino (2) and Dan Floyd in 1999. Numerous teams have advanced to the Elite Eight or State High School Championships as well as Individuals, including Travis Chrietzberg in 2008 and Bryce Alley 2011 and 2012.
Many players from the past have gone on to play Collegiate Golf and several have progressed to the Professional Ranks. Pine Tree's Cupid Brothers, Jackie and Buster are the only two brothers in PGA history to finish first and second in a PGA event (1961 Canadian Open).
Girls Golf
Several PT golfers have gone on to play at the collegiate level. Rachel Zastoupil recently completed her eligibility at Texas Wesleyan University. Rachel began her college career as a member of the inaugural TWU's women's golf program and this season she helped guide a team who finished 3 shots out of third place during NAIA Nationals in Georgia. Elise Pope is currently a junior in Mississippi State University's Professional Golf Management program.
Others that have extended the Pirate Golf tradition: Cortney Berryhill-Tramel - TAMU- Texarkana; Brittany Cole - Tyler Junior College; Lindsay Bray - Rhodes College, Memphis, Tennessee; Bailey Childers - Wellesley College - Wellesley, MA.

2021-2022
Jr. High and Middle School TopGolf field trip!
2019-2020
On the Boys side, we only lose one senior in Jayden Randall. Bringing back a young team that is getting better daily. Excited for next year to see more progress. One the Girls Side, we lose KQ as she graduates. She has been a huge part of the program and leaving behind a young team who knows how to compete. We had a lot of personal best rounds on both sides this year and finished up strong! Proud of all the Golfers and ready to start a new season in 2019-2020!
Winner of the Dad's and Daughters Scramble was Kailey Quiett and Callie Lightfoot. Winner of the Sr and Sirs Scramble was Merrick and Scott Taylor. Thank you to everyone who sponsored a golfer in the Putt-A-Thon Fundraiser this year. It's a great event for us to raise so money for the Golf Program as well as put a little pressure on the golfers in making some putts! Without your help, we would not be able to do the things we do with the golfers! |
2018-2019
