The Pine Tree Boys and Girls Golf teams have a rich history of success in East Texas. Led by Coach Taylor Guinn, the teams look to continue the winning tradition at PTHS. Since the beginning of records for Texas High School Golf, Pine Tree claims the title for three straight state championships and three Individual State Champions in Richard Parvino (2) and Dan Floyd in 1999.  Numerous teams have advanced to the Elite Eight or State High School Championships as well as Individuals, including Travis Chrietzberg in 2008 and Bryce Alley 2011 and 2012.

Many players from the past have gone on to play Collegiate Golf and several have progressed to the Professional Ranks.  Pine Tree's Cupid Brothers, Jackie and Buster are the only two brothers in PGA history to finish first and second in a PGA event (1961 Canadian Open).
